Registered Social Worker

Hi, I’m Amanda. I know how hard it can be to find the right therapist—I've been on that side of the search myself, wondering who will actually get it. If you're here, you're probably carrying something that feels heavy or confusing, and you're trying to figure out the next step. My goal is to offer a space that feels approachable and real, where you can take a breath, show up as you are, and feel like someone is truly in it with you.
Parcours
I’m a Registered Social Worker who supports adults working through addiction and attachment challenges. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns that leave them disconnected—from themselves, their relationships, or a sense of direction. I help clients understand those patterns, explore where they come from, and begin to shift them in a way that feels meaningful and lasting. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that change becomes possible when you feel truly seen and supported.
Votre expérience thérapeutique avec moi
Working with me is a collaborative, down-to-earth experience. I offer a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out—where we can make sense of things together. Whether you're dealing with addiction, relationship struggles, or just feeling lost, we’ll move at your pace. You can expect thoughtful questions, genuine support, and tools that actually fit your life. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly gets it—because healing happens when we feel safe enough to be real.

Approches thérapeutiques
Voici mes principales approches thérapeutiques, soutenues par une formation spécialisée et une expérience clinique approfondie.

Objectif d'attachement (Attachment Lens)
Using an attachment lens means we look at how your early relationships shaped the way you connect with others and yourself. It helps us understand patterns like pulling away, chasing closeness, or feeling unsafe in relationships. This approach gets to the root of things—so instead of just managing symptoms, we can work toward real, lasting change in how you relate, cope, and feel about yourself.

Thérapie comportementale dialectique (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy)
DBT helps you manage big emotions, build healthier relationships, and respond to stress without falling into the same old patterns. In our work together, we’ll use practical tools—like mindfulness, emotion regulation, and boundary-setting—to help you feel more in control, grounded, and able to handle tough moments without shutting down or spiraling. It’s not about doing it perfectly—it’s about making steady, doable changes that actually stick.

Thérapie cognitivo-comportementale (TCC) (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT))
CBT helps you notice and shift unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety, shame, or self-doubt. In our sessions, we’ll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—then work together to challenge what’s no longer serving you. This approach is practical and focused on helping you feel more confident, grounded, and able to navigate life with greater clarity and self-compassion.

thérapie centrée sur les émotions (Emotionally Focused Therapy)
EFT is all about getting to the heart of your emotions and understanding the patterns in how you relate to others. In our work, we’ll look at the deeper emotional needs that often show up in relationships—like wanting to feel safe, loved, or understood. By making sense of these emotions together, we can begin to shift the stuck cycles you might find yourself in and create more secure, connected relationships—with others and with yourself.
