Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know you’re not alone. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can show up just as you are — no judgment, no pressure. Whether you're navigating big emotions, life transitions, or just feeling overwhelmed, we’ll move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. You deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported. Let’s take that first step, together.

Parcours

My name is Kaycee Bevans, and I am a graduate of the Master of Counselling program at the University of Lethbridge. Before becoming a counsellor, I taught elementary school for nine years and especially enjoyed my time as a kindergarten teacher. As an educator, I was most passionate about building strong relationships with my students and supporting their development of socio-emotional skills, self-awareness, and positive connections with others. I’m grateful to now focus more deeply on these areas in my work as a counsellor.

Votre expérience thérapeutique avec moi

In our work together, you can expect a compassionate, collaborative space where your story matters. I bring a calm, grounded presence and a gentle curiosity as we explore what’s going on for you. I’ll listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and offer support that fits you — whether that’s through emotional processing, practical tools, or simply making space to breathe. We’ll move at a pace that feels right, with flexibility and care, always guided by your goals and needs. My approach is integrative and person-centered, meaning I draw from different evidence-based approaches while always holding your voice and wisdom at the centre of our work.

Approches thérapeutiques

Voici mes principales approches thérapeutiques, soutenues par une formation spécialisée et une expérience clinique approfondie.

rating

Thérapie centrée sur la personne (Person-centered Therapy)

Person-centered therapy creates a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. By offering empathy, acceptance, and genuine connection, this approach helps you explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Over time, it can build your self-trust, increase self-awareness, and support you in making choices that feel true to who you are.

rating

Approche basée sur le jeu (Play-based Approach)

A play-based approach meets children where they are—through play. It gives young clients a natural and comfortable way to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without needing to find the "right" words. Through games, storytelling, art, and imaginative play, children can process emotions, build coping skills, and feel truly understood in a way that feels safe and engaging.

rating

Thérapie basée sur la sensibilisation au trauma (Trauma-informed Therapy)

Trauma-informed therapy helps clients feel safe, empowered, and understood as they work through difficult experiences. It recognizes the impact of trauma on the mind and body, and focuses on building trust, supporting choice, and creating a sense of control. Rather than asking “what’s wrong with you?” it gently explores “what happened to you?”—always at the client’s pace.

rating

Thérapie axée sur l'attachement (Attachment Focused Therapy)

Attachment-focused therapy supports clients in understanding how early relationships shape the way they connect with others and themselves. By exploring patterns of closeness, trust, and emotional safety, this approach helps clients heal from past relational wounds and build healthier, more secure connections. It creates a safe, supportive space where clients can experience consistency, empathy, and attunement—key ingredients in building secure attachment.
