Hi, I’m Katherine - and I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone. Whether you’re navigating big life changes, anxiety, past trauma, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to support you with compassion, curiosity, and a dash of humour. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, comfortable conversation - like coffee with a friend (who just happens to be trained in mental health!).
背景
With a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, I’ve spent the last several years supporting children, youth, families, and individuals through life’s beautifully complex (and sometimes messy) moments. From navigating anxiety and trauma to major life transitions, I bring a holistic and empathetic approach grounded in real-world experience.
與我經歷治療的體驗
Working with me feels a lot like having a thoughtful conversation with someone who truly gets it - minus the pressure and with a bit more intentionality. My therapy style is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I’ll gently challenge you when needed, celebrate your growth, and hold space when things feel heavy. I’ll meet you where you are with empathy, curiosity, and zero judgment. Expect a mix of humour, heart, and a pace that honours your process.

治療手法
這些是我主要的治療手法,均接受過專業訓練或有豐富臨床經驗:

情感焦點治療 (Emotionally Focused Therapy)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short-term, evidence-based approach that helps individuals, couples, or families improve emotional connection and resolve relationship distress. It focuses on identifying patterns, exploring deep emotions, and creating safe, secure bonds through empathy and open communication.

正念認知療法 (Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines mindfulness practices with cognitive therapy techniques to help individuals become more aware of their thoughts and feelings without judgment. It’s especially effective in preventing relapse in depression and supports emotional regulation by teaching clients to respond rather than react to difficult experiences.

以優勢為本的方法 (Strength-based Approach)
Strength-Based Therapy is a positive, collaborative approach that focuses on a person’s existing strengths, resources, and resilience. Instead of centering on problems or deficits, it empowers clients by building on what’s already working to support growth, confidence, and lasting change.

創傷知情療法 (Trauma-informed Therapy)
Trauma-Informed Therapy is an approach that recognizes the impact of past trauma on a person’s current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It focuses on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered, respected, and understood. This approach avoids re-traumatization and emphasizes collaboration, trust, and emotional safety throughout the healing process.
