EnglishMandarinBackground
I am a BCACC registered, CCPA certified clinical counsellor, and BCACC Approved Clinical Supervisor. As a clinician, I have extensive experience in delivering Dialectical Behavior Therapy to high-risk adults, youths and families experiencing concerns such as suicidality, self-harm, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, trauma, and addictions. As a trainer, I have undergone the Train the Trainer Program under Dr. Marsha Linehan’s Behavioural Tech Institute. In addition to the foundational DBT and RO-DBT treatment programs, I am also trained in DBT for Substance Use Disorders (DBT-SUD), DBT Skills in Schools (DBT STEPS-A), DBT for Adolescents (DBT-A), and DBT for Trauma (DBT-PE) Protocols.
Your therapeutic experience with me
At our clinic, we see our clients as true equals. We believe you are the expert of your life, and we are the expert of the skills. Thus, the relationship we have with our clients are genuine ones. We work together to set goals. Skills are practiced as partners. We are not “telling” you what to do: we are walking alongside you, and we believe change happens in true, genuine relationships.
Therapeutic approaches
These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
DBT is an evidence-based programmatic approach that combines mindfulness, behavioural psychology, and dialectics in a practical manner that gives clients the skills they need to effectively manage their concerns.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours.

Exposure and Response Prevention
Exposure Therapy is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals gradually face and reduce anxiety and avoidance related to specific situations, thoughts, or memories.
Focused populations and cultural backgrounds
These are the communities and cultural backgrounds I focus on, and I bring a sincere commitment to supporting you in a way that feels respectful and genuine:
