Monika's
Warm video welcome

Background
I'm passionate about supporting people with misophonia (specific sound sensitivity), as well as people who are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I use a queer and gender-affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, weight-inclusive, and trauma-informed approach. I'm a queer person myself, and have experience supporting the queer community, and people with misophonia.
Your therapeutic experience with me
I view my role as a counsellor like being a navigator: you're in the driver's seat, and I hop into the passenger seat for an hour every week or two to check-in where ever you're at, explore where you want to go, and help you plan how to get there. I trust in your wisdom to guide us, while I offer skills and expertise that have been helpful to others, and may be helpful to you. My approach is lighthearted, flexible, and easygoing, while also making space for heavier topics as they come up, all at your pace.
