Registered Psychotherapist
EnglishWelcome! It's my belief that quality clinical supervision is a key component to better outcomes for your clients and a long, enjoyable career as a clinician.
Background
I have been a Registered Psychotherapist since 2016. I have a MDiv in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale Seminary/ I have been an associate member of the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT) since 2020. As a therapist, I am influenced by narrative therapy, attachment theory, family systems theory, and cognitive-behavioural ideas. I've worked in children's mental health agencies, adult addictions services, and private practice settings throughout the GTA. Most of my current practice includes working with children / young adult mental health and family issues.
Your supervision experience with me
As a supervisor, I build upon the supervisee's current strengths and life-experience to collaborate as they work towards the clinician they aspire to be. I believe that therapy and supervision are both clinical and reflective. Clinical supervision involves consulting about cases, discussion about formulation and treatment directions, and documentation / evaluation. Reflective supervision supports safe and effective use of self by exploring the transactions between the therapist and client as well as the therapist and supervisor. I strive to create a supervisory environment and relationship that feels safe-enough to address difficult questions or issues that arise in their work.
