These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Stellocare therapist matching service, a platform operated in Canada to connect individuals with licensed mental health professionals. By using the matching service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the service.

1. Service description

Stellocare provides a therapist matching service that helps individuals identify licensed professionals based on information voluntarily submitted by the user. We do not offer clinical care, diagnostic services, or crisis intervention. Our role is limited to helping you explore your options and facilitating initial contact with potential therapists.

2. Eligibility

Individuals of any age may use the Stellocare matching service. However, if you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you must have the legal capacity to consent under applicable laws. In some cases, consent from a parent or guardian may be required.

3. Client responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information in the matching form, including your preferences, needs, and contact details. The effectiveness of the matching process depends on the completeness and accuracy of the information you share.

4. Limitations of service

Stellocare does not make clinical decisions or assess therapeutic compatibility. We do not guarantee that the matched therapist will meet your expectations or clinical needs. Any relationship formed is solely between you and the therapist.

5. Data and privacy

All information submitted through the matching service is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share client information for advertising or marketing. For full details, please refer to the Stellocare Privacy Policy.

6. No emergency or crisis services

Stellocare is not intended for emergencies. If you are in crisis, contact 9-8-8, go to your nearest emergency department, or call emergency services.

7. Google sign-in and third-party login

If you choose to sign in using Google (Google SSO), we will request access to your name, email address, and Google user ID. This information is used solely to authenticate your identity and manage your account. Stellocare does not access any other personal data from your Google account, such as contacts or documents.

You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings. Google login is offered for your convenience and does not affect your ability to use Stellocare’s services.

8. Service changes and discontinuation

Stellocare reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the matching service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any resulting impacts.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stellocare disclaims all liability for damages arising from use of the matching service or interactions with therapists listed on the platform. We do not accept responsibility for the clinical conduct or services of individual providers.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
