I love mentoring emerging mental health professionals because I enjoy supporting their growth and helping them build confidence in this challenging yet rewarding work. Supervisees can expect guidance that combines practical experience with thoughtful feedback, encouragement, and a focus on ethical, strengths-based practice. I have experience in both health authorities and private practice settings. I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor for Yorkville University students/interns.

Background

I bring over 7 years of extensive experience working with individuals navigating grief, burnout (including caregiver burnout), trauma, and relationship issues such as codependency. My supervision philosophy centres on creating a reflective, supportive, and strengths-based environment where emerging counsellors can integrate theory with practice, develop self-awareness, and build confidence. Drawing on my diverse experience with MCFD, ICBC, WorkSafeBC, health authorities, non-profits, and running my own private practice , I provide nuanced, practical guidance and mentorship, integrating holistic, body-based approaches and faith-affirming perspectives where relevant.

Your supervision experience with me

Supervision with me will be collaborative, supportive, and grounded in both clinical rigour and reflective growth. It is vital for me to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for supervisees to explore clinical questions, ethical concerns, and areas of uncertainty while building confidence in their professional judgment. With training in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Trauma-informed Therapy, I provide guidance that balances practical skills with deeper exploration of therapeutic process, client dynamics, and professional identity with an emphasis on Person-of-the-Therapist. My aim is to foster clarity, competence, and inspiration in each session.
