Allow me to invite you to experience neuro-affirming therapy! I am committed to providing a safe and accepting space for neurodivergent, highly sensitive (HSP), and anyone else who experiences feeling different in some way. I would be honoured to help you explore your unique nervous system and personal experience, so you can find the empowerment to live an authentic and resilient life.
Background
As a highly sensitive person with an extensive family history of Autism and ADHD, I have experienced walking through the world while feeling somehow different. In the past, I have walked away from so many professional appointments feeling misunderstood and broken. That's why I am committed to providing a safe and accepting space for neuro-affirming therapy. I love learning and I balance that with the belief that knowledge is only a small part of what creates change. The world can be a difficult place for neurodivergent people, but I want to help you experience at least one place where you can be you!
Your therapeutic experience with me
I want to offer you the opportunity to learn who you are, what you need, and how that might affect your life and relationships. While I can offer you my perspective and experience, I believe that you are the true expert on your own life (even if you don't know it yet). In therapy, I will help you develop a gentler and more supportive relationship with yourself so that you can have more confidence, resilience, flexibility, and peace. You can become the safe space that you have been looking for!

Therapeutic approaches
These are my primary therapeutic approaches, backed by specialized training and extensive clinical experience.

Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is based on the idea that we all have a mind that is made up of parts that take on various roles. IFS can help you learn what drives your behaviour and how to change without leaving any part of you behind.

Polyvagal-informed Therapy
Your nervous system plays a key role in your emotions and behaviour. Learn how to recognize and create the safety you need to be able to meet your goals.

Person-centered Therapy
We believe that you know you best! Even with our depth of experience in neurodivergence, each individual is unique, and with person-centered therapy, our role is to help create a safe space for you to learn and express what works for you.

Anti-oppressive Therapy
Our Western culture has created systems that harm members of many minority groups, and neurodivergent people are no exception. We recognize that your relationship with the systems of our society may be complex and challenging, and we can help you understand how your relationship to those systems affects your life and health. We are open-minded to choices that do not fit "inside the box."
I also incorporate these evidence-based approaches when clinically appropriate:

Somatic Therapy

Transpersonal Therapy
