Feeling anxious, unmotivated, or disconnected can be exhausting, especially during the teen and young adult years. Compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for teen girls and emerging adults who want to feel calmer, more confident, and more like the person they want to be. Using mindfulness, expressive arts, and mind-body tools, we build practical skills for real life. Sessions are virtual across Alberta or in-person in Calgary.

Background

I’m a Registered Psychologist and teen life coach with over 15 years of experience supporting youth, families, and newcomers through anxiety, grief, trauma, and big life transitions. I’m the founder of Pyramid Psychology and creator of The Happiness Path, a group program for teen girls that blends creativity, movement, and connection. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and strengths-based, drawing from expressive arts, mindfulness, and nervous-system science. I care deeply about helping teens feel more confident, calm, and connected to who they truly are. I'm working on adding nature based and animal connections to my practice which is truly exciting!

Your therapeutic experience with me

I strive for work with me to feel honest, gentle, and deeply human. You don’t have to perform, impress, or be “fixed.” You’re free to show up exactly as you are... whatever that means to you... messy, quiet, curious, funny, unsure. Our work is collaborative and shame-free, blending thoughtful reflection with moments of lightness and laughter. We’ll slow things down, notice your strengths, and make sense of what’s happening in your nervous system and your life. You can expect meaningful conversations, creative exploration, and practical tools that help you feel more confident, connected, and at home in yourself.

Therapeutic approaches

These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

rating

Expressive Arts Therapy

Supporting you to explore thoughts and emotions that may be hard to put into words. Through drawing, movement, writing, and creative play, the nervous system softens, insight grows, and healing becomes more natural, safe, and empowering.

rating

Compassion Focused Approach

Helps to soften the voice of self-criticism and build a kinder inner voice. By learning to feel safe, supported, and worthy, the nervous system calms and new patterns of confidence, emotional balance, and resilience can grow.

rating

Mindfullness & Somatic Practices

Supporting you to tune into their body, inner world and the present moment. By noticing sensations, breath, and emotions with curiosity, the nervous system settles, stress releases, and a greater sense of safety and self-trust can emerge.

rating

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Learning to relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings so you don’t get stuck in them. By clarifying values and taking small, meaningful steps, you build a life guided by what matters most, not by fear.

I also draw on other evidence based approaches that can gently support you when they align with what you need:
