MACP, AWACCA, BA
Registered Psychotherapist
EnglishBackground
I started my education at Western University in London, Ontario. There I completed my BA in psychology and solidified my interest in being a therapist in taking any counselling-related course I could find. I proceeded to attend George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, where I completed a specialized diploma in Abused Women and Children Counselling and Advocacy which included my first in-field experience in a community agency. This was my first introduction to gender-based violence work. The final and most recent component of my formal education was Yorkville University, where I completed my Masters of Counselling Psychology.
Your therapeutic experience with me
I take a solution-focused, human-centred approach when it comes to psychotherapy. I seek to support my clients during their life challenges, transitions, and stressors while increasing resiliency and focusing on strengths. Our work together will be reflective, supportive, and collaborative. I feel that every person has inherent value, and my work is informed by this belief. I have experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, abuse, difficult life transitions, as well as clients looking to address feelings of low self-esteem and cope with symptoms of mental health issues like anxiety and depression.
