Warm video welcome

Background
I have worked in the mental health field since 2022. I enjoy the work that I do by helping people who are struggling with their mental health and tailoring my approaches based on what every individual needs. I do my best to create a positive and safe environment where individuals feel comfortable opening up about their struggles so that we can work together to explore how we can best help you. Although it might be nerve-wracking, know that you have already taken that first step by asking for help.
Your therapeutic experience with me
I offer an integrative approach to finding what is best suited for you and your needs. This includes Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strength-Based Therapy, Person-Centred, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I give you the space and time you need to grow and implement changes while also exploring what potential challenges you come across and finding ways to overcome them so that we can help you achieve your goals.
Areas of expertise
These are the areas I commonly work with, and they form a big part of the support I offer in my practice:

I also support you in these additional areas and welcome you to reach out if any of them speak to what you are going through:
Therapeutic approaches
These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps you identify, challenge, and modify maladaptive thinking patterns. It can help in addressing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. It can help you gain strategies for ways to manage your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in difficult situations.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
DBT is beneficial in helping individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce harmful behaviours. I introduce emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills to help indiviudals who struggle with regulating their emotions. This approach is effective for those with BPD.

Strength-based Approach
I use a strength-based approach, which involves focusing on and utilizing your strengths and resources to facilitate positive change. This type of approach can enhance one's self-esteem, and we build upon your existing strengths and skills.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
I use ACT to help individuals accept uncomfortable experiences/feelings and commit to using their values when exploring what actions to take. It involves opening up about your thoughts and feelings without judgment and learning to observe them as they are rather than being controlled by them.
I also draw on other evidence based approaches that can gently support you when they align with what you need:
