Hi, I’m Melodi, and I’m glad you’ve found your way here. This space is meant for reflection, clarity, and growth. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and gently uncover new ways of relating to yourself and others. My role is to offer care, insight, and a steady presence as you take steps toward feeling more grounded and connected.

Background

My name is Melodi, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. My path into this work began with curiosity about human experience and deepened through my own journey of growth and learning. I value meaningful human connection and see therapy as a place where understanding and change can take root. I often work with adults navigating self-worth, relationships, and identity—those seeking to untangle family dynamics, manage stress or burnout, and reconnect with what feels authentic and fulfilling.

Your therapeutic experience with me

In therapy with me, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and a balance of practical support and deeper reflection. At times we’ll use concrete tools—like CBT strategies—to help ease stress and bring clarity. At other times, we’ll explore the underlying feelings and patterns shaping your experiences. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and attuned, offering a space where you can feel seen and supported as you move toward greater confidence and self-understanding.

Therapeutic approaches

These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

rating

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

This work offers the “band-aids”: the practical tools to help you manage immediate challenges. It helps us recognize, challenge, and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, so you can feel more in control and cope better day to day.

rating

Existential Therapy

This deeper work involves exploring life’s big questions: meaning, purpose, and identity. Together, we’ll provide the “stitches” that help you heal beneath the surface, creating lasting clarity and a more authentic connection to yourself, even in uncertainty.

Person-centered Approach

At the heart of all our work is a person-centered approach. Offering you a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly seen and heard. This foundation supports both the practical “band-aids” and deeper “stitches,” empowering your healing and growth in a way that honors your unique journey.

I love plants and have a small collection of houseplants that all have names. This was probably what kept me in my biology minor!
