Registered Psychotherapist
EnglishDo you feel stuck in emotional patterns that hinder your relationships, self-image, or life decisions? Hoping to gain clarity and feel more empowered in your life? Then, I may be the right therapist for you. I'm Myroslava, RP, and I work with adults with a wide range of challenges (in English and Ukrainian): anxiety, depression, attachment trauma, relational conflict, low self-esteem, and life transitions - and I'd be honoured to partner with you on your path to healing and self-discovery!
Background
I am an integrative therapist. Having worked in social services for over a decade and in private practice, I am passionate about helping people gain insight and a deeper understanding of themselves and achieve meaningful change. To assist with my clients’ specific needs, I mainly draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), as well as elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts work informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dr. Janina Fisher’s Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) model, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, and sensorimotor/body-based interventions.
Your therapeutic experience with me
As a queer immigrant woman, my intersecting identities inform a large part of my work and my practice is rooted in intersectional feminism. My therapeutic style balances collaboration, support, and challenging clients at their own pace.
Therapeutic approaches
These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic and experiential approach, rooted in adult attachment theory. Bringing awareness to, understanding, expressing, and processing emotions aims to help clients gain insight into their patterns and experiences – beyond coping with surface-level issues and symptoms – into the creation of new inner experiences and secure relationships with self and others.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a skills-driven approach, focused on helping people regulate their emotions more effectively. DBT skills that can be applied to regulate intense emotions, improve interpersonal effectiveness, and increase distress tolerance.
I also draw on other evidence based approaches that can gently support you when they align with what you need:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Brief Solution-oriented Therapy

Mindfulness

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy/body-centered Approach
