Registered Social Worker

Whatever brings you to my office, I aim to provide the counselling support, tools, and guidance you may need to foster restoration and personal growth. My goal is to create a space where healing feels gentle, real, and deeply supportive for those carrying relational woundedness, trauma, substance misuse issues, mental health difficulty, or simply longing for a softer way forward. I can also include a Christian perspective in therapy when requested, though I do support other spiritual beliefs.
Background
My heart is to offer a space where healing is gentle, creative, spiritually grounded, and deeply supportive to those carrying trauma, mental health issues, substance misuse, relationship discord, or maybe longing for a deeper connection with God, others, and themselves. A vibe that is less clinical and more human, while still offering professional therapy services. Whatever you are coping with that brings you to my office, I will provide you with the guidance and tools you need to foster healing and personal growth.
Your therapeutic experience with me
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that each person I meet deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. I integrate trauma-informed care with body-centred therapies such as Attachment-Focused EMDR and Somatic Experiencing, as these methods allow us to work at deep emotional and somatic levels, helping you reconnect with your body, emotions, and spirit at a pace that feels safe for you.

Therapeutic approaches
These are my primary therapeutic approaches, backed by specialized training and extensive clinical experience.

Eye Movement Desensitization And Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
Attachment-Focused EMDR uses a modified protocol for EMDR where the counselling focuses on the attachments people form with a parental figure during childhood. EMDR is a well-researched and proven method for PTSD treatment, and is beneficial for recent traumas and substance misuse as well.

Somatic Therapy
The Somatic Experiencing approach aims to resolve symptoms of stress, shock, and trauma that accumulate in the nervous systems. From an SE lens, the focus is on how trauma shows up in the nervous system and how that dysregulation impacts everyday living.

Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy
Respect for each person's values and beliefs, and tailoring therapy accordingly, is the foundation of my practice. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore spiritual questions, doubts, or conflicts that may arise from religious or spiritual beliefs and experiences.
