Welcome. This is Rex, an Ontario-based therapist. I know reaching out isn’t always easy, and you’ve already taken a brave step by being here. In our space, you don’t have to have the right words or all the answers—we’ll take things one step at a time, together.

Background

I support individuals navigating major life changes, past trauma, and addictions. My practice combines EMDR, CBT, and narrative approaches, tailored to each client’s pace and needs. With a warm, culturally attuned approach in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, I provide a safe space to feel seen, understood, and grounded. Whether you’re adjusting to change, rebuilding after loss, or processing deep wounds, I offer steady support to help you regain clarity, trust in yourself, and move toward healing with purpose.

Your therapeutic experience with me

Sitting with me feels like entering a calm, grounded space where there’s no rush to have it all figured out. You can expect gentle facilitation with insights, with room to pause, reflect, and take each step at a pace that feels right for you. I listen deeply, attune to what’s spoken and unspoken, and help you find clarity without pressure. Together, we create a safe place to rest, rebuild trust in yourself, and move through change —one step at a time—until the path ahead feels lighter and more possible.

Therapeutic approaches

These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

rating

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I help you notice and accept difficult thoughts or feelings without letting them control you. Together, we focus on what matters most to you, so you can take small, meaningful steps toward a life that feels true to your values.

rating

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

We work gently with painful memories so they feel less overwhelming. Using guided eye movements, we help your brain process past experiences, reduce distress, and make space for new, more balanced ways of feeling and thinking.

rating

Narrative Therapy

I invite you to share your story and explore it from fresh angles. Together, we uncover the strengths, hopes, and values that may have been hidden by hardship, and re-author your story in a way that honours your resilience.

rating

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

We look at the patterns between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. By noticing and challenging unhelpful thinking, we build practical skills to shift your perspective and help you respond to life’s challenges more effectively.

I also draw on other evidence based approaches that can gently support you when they align with what you need:
