Hi, and welcome. I know reaching out for support can feel like a big, vulnerable step, and I want to honor the courage it takes to be here. This is your space—one where you don’t have to carry everything alone, where you’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and care. My hope is that you can take a breath and know you’re not navigating this journey by yourself.

Background

Hi, I'm Shahed! I became a therapist out of a deep belief that healing happens in safe, compassionate connection. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges, and I’ve learned that every person holds an incredible capacity for resilience and growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I draw from CBT, EFT, MBCT, ACT, Narrative, Solution-Focused, IFS, and Psychodynamic approaches—always tailoring our work to what feels most supportive for you. Above all, I value authenticity and empathy, creating a space where you feel truly seen and understood.

Your therapeutic experience with me

Working with me means stepping into a space where you can exhale and show up as you are. Clients often describe me as calm, straightforward, and encouraging. Our work will be collaborative: you bring your lived experience, and I bring my training and perspective. Sometimes that looks like slowing down and exploring emotions with care; other times it’s building practical tools to help you feel steadier in daily life. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you—listening, reflecting, and supporting you in finding clarity and meaningful change.

rating

Person-centered Therapy

At the core of my work is a person-centered approach, which means I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

I regularly integrate CBT techniques to bring awareness to the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll notice unhelpful patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and practice new ways of coping that support your goals. Clients appreciate the balance of practical tools.

Mindfullness & Somatic Practices

I draw on grounding techniques and body awareness to help regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and bring a sense of calm into the present moment.

Narrative Therapy

I support clients in exploring and re-authoring the stories they tell about themselves, opening up space for new perspectives, healing, and personal empowerment.
