EnglishI believe that when we feel silenced, trapped, and depleted by the things we have to carry alone without any relief or resolve, we become ill and stuck. We may even have this gnawing feeling that something is very very wrong. Call it anxiety, depression, stress, or that “there is just something wrong with me”; the label is less important. What is more important is that you want relief. Let's connect so that you can feel alive, nourished, and fulfilled with your life again.
Background
I hold a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and work primarily with adults navigating grief, burnout, trauma, and relationship challenges like codependency. I am also drawn to supporting strong-minded, hyper-independent eldest daughters who care for everyone but themselves; just like me ha! My approach is holistic and body-based, integrating faith-affirming support when relevant. In addition to my health authority role, I run a private practice, providing clinical supervision and care informed by experience with MCFD, ICBC, WorkSafeBC, Foundry, and non-profits. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and reflective space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
Your therapeutic experience with me
I am passionate in helping individuals feel free from the burden and weight of burnout, find relief from debilitating grief, break free from unhealthy patterns like codependency, or let go of shame. I value working collaboratively, looking at both your strengths and barriers with an inquisitive and empathetic approach so that not only practical skills are being built but that you will feel alive, nourished, and fulfilled with your life again. As a BIPOC individual, I strive to be well aware of the multitudes of influences that shape who we are and the decisions that we make. I only see clients ages 19+. I look forward to connecting with you so that you can begin to feel free and fulfilled.

These are the areas I commonly work with, and they form a big part of the support I offer in my practice:

I also support you in these additional areas and welcome you to reach out if any of them speak to what you are going through:
Therapeutic approaches
These are the approaches at the heart of my work, and I use them often because they help create meaningful change:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
EMDR can help by allowing the brain to reprocess upsetting memories so they feel less overwhelming and have less power over your daily life.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS can help by guiding you to understand and heal the different parts of yourself, so you can feel more balanced, compassionate, and in control of your life.

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor Therapy can help by teaching you to listen to and work with your body’s signals, so you can release tension and feel calmer and more grounded.

Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy
Spiritually integrated psychotherapy can help by incorporating your spiritual beliefs and values into counselling, supporting healing and growth in a way that feels authentic to your whole self.
I also draw on other evidence based approaches that can gently support you when they align with what you need:

Attachment Focused Therapy

Culturally Sensitive Therapy
