My role is not just to walk along side you, but rather to support you while we work to help you unravel childhood wounds & unhelpful narratives that are attached to them. Together we will discover how these experiences contribute to pain that you carry into your current life. I work with you to help you be in touch with the underlying emotions that you carry day to day and give them a safe space to surface and feel.

Here you are, wanting more for yourself. I would like to walk alongside you as you brave what's already inside of you. At times, I will ask difficult questions, I will challenge patterns when you are ready, and importantly, I will aim to connect your mind with your body. You are safe here. You set the pace.

I’m a therapist who works with professionals, entrepreneurs, midlifers, older adults, and couples navigating change, burnout, disconnection, or the sense that something important is missing. “Hi,I’m Amanda. I’m a queer, white and cis settler. I work with folks navigating substance use (alcohol or drugs), addiction, navigating someone else's addiction, underlying trauma and grief. Challenges with substance use Is a spectrum. Maybe you’re using substances to cope with stress, anxiety or past trauma. Maybe it has become a daily ritual, or something you don’t feel fully in control of anymore. Perhaps a part of you wants to stop and another part doesn’t or somewhere in between.

I provide a welcoming space for you to explore your feelings and experiences without judgment. With empathy and compassion rooted in my upbringing and life in rural Alberta, I provide a welcome space.
